Skybound has won Excellence in Fintech (Advisers) at the 2026 Investment International Awards, with a Highly Commended for Best Fintech Innovation (Advisers). The recognition reflects the work of Husain Rangwalla and our in-house technology team in connecting financial planning, written recommendations and client requests through Plume.
Plume brings together three products with distinct roles. Advice Suite supports the adviser's planning and recommendation work. The Skybound App gives clients access to information, documents, requests and meeting bookings. Hub supports the colleagues responsible for progressing work and recording approvals.
The purpose of connecting them is to keep information useful as a case moves forward. Details gathered in a client meeting can inform the planning and the written recommendation. A request made through the app can become an assigned task for the people who need to act on it.
Chief Technology Officer Husain Rangwalla and our in-house technology team lead this work. Developing tools around the firm's advice process lets them address the practical needs of advisers, clients and support colleagues together.

MoneyMap brings cashflow planning into the client meeting. It uses information from the client's fact-find to help an adviser explore affordability, capacity for loss and different scenarios. The results feed into the recommendation, keeping the discussion connected to the advice that follows.
Consider a hypothetical client deciding whether to increase their regular savings while meeting other commitments. Adjusting the assumptions during the meeting lets the adviser and client examine the effect on the plan together. They can discuss what the change would require and which trade-offs the client is comfortable making.
The projections depend on their assumptions, which the adviser needs to explain. Modelling also helps frame questions about capacity for loss: how a financial setback could affect the client's ability to meet commitments. A clearer view of those consequences gives the discussion more substance before a recommendation is made.
The Suitability Report Builder within Advice Suite helps prepare reports around the adviser's licence, the client's jurisdiction and the type of recommendation. It draws on information already captured in the advice process, reducing repeated drafting.
According to our internal figures, advisers had produced 11,976 suitability reports through the builder by September 2026. We estimate a saving of around 90 minutes of drafting time per report.
The final document still needs professional review, and the adviser remains responsible for the recommendation. Time released from repeated preparation creates capacity that can be used for understanding a client's circumstances, discussing the options and following up agreed actions.
Our Pre and Post Review Pack applies the same approach to review preparation. It brings the meeting agenda and the record of the discussion into one module, helping advisers prepare and record what needs to happen afterwards.

The Skybound App gives clients a way to manage parts of their relationship with us around their own schedule. They can submit identity documents as part of onboarding, view policy information across providers and sign documents. They can also choose an available adviser meeting in their own time zone.
Clients can raise requests for valuations, changes to personal or payment details, top-ups and withdrawals. Each request enters the relevant servicing process: it creates a task, notifies the adviser and paraplanner, and reaches Hub for assignment and tracking.
Our internal figures recorded 4,786 requests raised through the app by September 2026. These are requests for the team to progress, with any required checks and provider processing still to follow. The workflow connects the client's request with the people responsible for taking it forward.
Hub also supports digital approval routes and records the decisions made along the way. A pension case, for example, can involve the pension manager, line manager and compliance team through the relevant route. The record helps the people managing a case see its progress and the work still outstanding.
Managers can view activity across teams and regions, helping them identify items that need attention. This gives the business a shared basis for oversight as work moves between colleagues.
A client may never need to know the name of the system behind a request. Its value comes from the people handling their affairs being able to find the relevant information, understand their responsibility and progress the next step.
The fintech recognition sits alongside our Company of the Year recognition and Excellence in Client Service awards in 2026. Together, these give us a reason to recognise Husain and the technology team, as well as the advisers and support colleagues using these tools in their daily work.
The continuing work is practical: make financial planning easier to discuss, reduce repeated preparation and give requests a clear route through the business.

"I want our advisers to have the time to understand the decisions a family faces. Connecting the planning, the written advice and the work that follows should help them do that. Clients should be able to see the benefit in a clearer conversation about their money."
Start with the decision you need to make. Speak to a Skybound adviser about your circumstances and ask how cashflow planning with MoneyMap could help you understand your options.
