Skybound Wealth has welcomed Alexandra Merz as a Private Wealth Adviser based in London, working with the group’s UK and U.S. advisory businesses. She joins following almost a decade advising private clients at Vie International.
That combination brings experience of global financial markets together with a close understanding of the decisions facing individuals and families whose wealth spans countries.
For those clients, an investment decision rarely stands alone. It may affect their retirement plans, the way they provide for their children, or the arrangements they have made to protect their family. Alexandra’s work brings these considerations into the same conversation.
Alexandra works with expatriates and internationally connected families on investment, retirement and wealth preservation planning. She has particular experience with American clients and families with financial ties to both the US and UK.
Her work has covered pension and general investment accounts, financial planning relating to estate preservation, family protection and children’s savings. She also has experience supporting clients with financial planning during mediation, separation, divorce and remarriage, when existing financial arrangements may need to be reconsidered. Legal matters are handled by appropriately qualified legal professionals.

Alexandra’s career spans more than 25 years and includes senior banking roles in London, New York and Chicago, working in fixed income and commodities.
From 1997 to 1999, Alexandra worked as an analyst in Merrill Lynch’s investment banking division, focusing on municipal bonds and public sector issuance.
At Deutsche Bank, she served as a Director from 2001 to 2007, with responsibilities in European corporate power and gas sales and structuring. From 2007 to 2011, she was a Managing Director at J.P. Morgan, where her responsibilities included energy sales across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
From 2011 to 2013, Alexandra was a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs, leading European corporate energy sales. She later moved into private client advice and worked at Vie International from 2017 to August 2026.
She holds a BA in Economics from the University of Chicago, an MBA from Columbia University and the Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (DipPFS). She has also passed the Series 65 (Uniform Investment Adviser Law) examination and is a licensed insurance agent in New York State.
