Last month our teams in Dubai, London, and Geneva turned Skybound Wealth offices pink to raise awareness for the brilliant work that Prevent Breast Cancer provides.
Did you know that in the UAE, breast cancer tends to present earlier than in many other regions, with the median age being around 48 years?
Our very own Olivia Gunningham completed the Royal Parks Half Marathon this month raising over a thousand pounds for ActionAid in the process.
A charity whose mission resonates deeply with Olivia, ActionAid is dedicated to working closely with communities to end gender-based violence. One in three women and girls worldwide experience violence at some point in their lives, which can include various forms, including rape, female genital mutilation (FGM), sexual exploitation, and child marriage. And survivors of such violence often endure a range of physical and psychological problems.
Last week our Sheffield and Geneva offices took part in Macmillan Cancer Support's world's biggest coffee morning, baking (buying in some cases!) some amazing treats, having a cuppa and raising much needed funds and awareness for the amazing service provided by Macmillan ❤
Earlier this year Skybound Wealth’s Mark Tucker combined a trip for a colleagues wedding with a visit to family in the Chennai area of India. Whilst there he discovered his grandfather’s inspiring story and philanthropic endeavours.
Not satisfied with last year’s exploits, Faisel Mahboob our all action Compliance Manager entered three competitions recently. The first a Spartan Race, the second the infamous London to Bournemouth bike ride, where he had to navigate 120 miles of ever-changing terrain before finally tackling Europe’s Toughest Mudder. We’d like to congratulate Faisel on completing all three of these challenges and would like to recommend he reviews his life insurance policies!
Senior Financial Planner, Paul Butler (or Coach Paul as he is known on a Saturday🏉) is now on his second stint as a Junior Rugby Coach, Paul says he gets as much satisfaction from helping kids navigate their way around the pitch, as he does from helping clients navigate the complexities of offshore investing! Having lived in the Middle East for over ten years, there aren't many people better placed than Paul to help expats achieve their goals, whether that be investment related as a client of Skybound Wealth, or seeing their children become rugby stars of the future with the Dubai Hurricanes.
