Trainee Financial Planning Administrator

Job Description

This is a busy and varied role that requires excellent attention to detail along with great client service skills. Ideally you will have an active interest in financial services (although this is not necessary) as this position could be your first step into a successful career with a growing UK IFA as part of the international group. 

Skybound have a policy of sponsoring all staff through relevant qualifications and promoting from within. The Trainee Administrator role is designed to progress the successful candidate into a qualified Financial Planning Administrator and then a Paraplanner if that is a path you wish to choose. 

This specific position will focus on supporting our UK Advisory team. The business for this area heavily focuses on new UK advice, repatriating clients from overseas and dealing with UK and international mortgages. 

Key Duties
  • Assisting dealing with adviser queries/requests
  • Adding client appointments in calendars for advisers whereneeded
  • Assisting with client paperwork and processing new business
  • Chasing transfers (Ceding schemes, receiving schemes andtrustees)
  • Keeping provider requirements spreadsheet up to date
  • Client valuations/backdated valuations
  • Creating/sending/chasing LOA’s
  • Taking inbound UK Calls
  • Dealing with UK post
  • Monitoring the Mortgages inbox
  • Adding new Leads to the separate mortgage CRM system
  • Arranging payment to mortgage fees
  • Working the mortgage pipeline – chasing providers for offersand solicitors for conveyancing updates, and keeping pipeline notes and datesup to date
  • Issuing business
  • General filing and keeping SharePoint/CRM/mortgage CRM tidy
  • Gathering relevant information for report writing
Desired Skills and Experience
  • Good IT skills – an intermediate understanding of Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal and written
  • Experience within an administration role
  • A desire to pursue a career in the Financial Services Industry in the future if not already and work towards a Financial Diploma with CII or CISI
  • £19,500 per annum starting salary
  • Salary to be reviewed after 6 months
  • Full sponsorship through Financial Services exams e.g. Level 4 Diploma
  • Excellent career progression in a growing firm
